Principles

How We Make Decisions

Three principles that govern every decision. For human experience. For agent experience. No exceptions.

01

Legible

What you cannot see, you cannot invoke. We make design judgment visible, structured, and available – to humans reviewing a composition and to agents composing one. Taste that lives only in intuition cannot scale. Taste encoded as infrastructure can. We design for both eyes and algorithms, because the decision layer must be readable by whoever is making the decision.

02

Configurable

A single design solution does not work for every context, every brand, every surface. We build for agency – human and machine. Expression should be layered, precise, and owned by the people it represents. Not unlimited options. Not rigid templates. Constraints that liberate. Configuration that empowers. You own your expression. We give you the structure to express it at any scale.

03

Responsible

What machines build must serve the human at the end. Every system we create preserves the bridge back to human judgment. The expression encoded in D\ is human expression – it survives because humans tend it, question it, refine it. We hold design intent when the machine holds logic. We build for the moment when human judgment needs to overrule the system. D\ augments human taste. It never replaces it.

These are not aspirations. They are constraints. Every decision runs through them – whether for what the customer experiences or what the AI agent experiences.
